INSCRIPCIONES ABIERTAS / CALL FOR ENTRIES
Están abiertas las inscripciones para la novena edición del Festival Internacional de Cine Documental Encuentros del Otro Cine (EDOC). El festival se desarrollará del 13 al 30 de mayo de 2010.
EDOC es la más grande celebración del cine documental en Ecuador. Se lleva a cabo desde 2002 en Quito, Guayaquil y Cuenca. Desde el año pasado el festival también recorre otras ciudades del país con una sección reducida del programa.
Cada año el festival recibe alrededor de 12 mil espectadores y presenta un centenar de películas con lo más representativo de la producción documental contemporánea, además de filmes clásicos, retrospectivas y una sección temática dedicada al Ecuador.
EDOC sobresale por la calidad de su programa e invitados, entre los que se cuentan Patricio Guzmán (Chile), Ross McElwee, (EEUU), Fernando ‘Pino’ Solanas (Argentina), Nino Kirtadze (Georgia), Eugenio Polgovsky (México), Joseph Morder (Francia), Jay Rosenblatt (EEUU), Natalia Almada (México-EEUU), entre otros.

The call for submissions is now open for the ninth edition of Encuentros del Otro Cine International Documentary Film Festival (EDOC). The festival will run from May 13th to the 30th, 2010.
EDOC is a celebration of exciting and inventive documentary films from around the world. The festival has been held since 2002 in Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca. Since the last edition a selection of the program also reaches smaller cities of the country.
Each year the festival attracts about 12,000 spectators and screens a hundred films from around the world with the best of contemporary documentary, as well as classics, retrospectives, and a thematic section dedicated to Ecuador.
The festival is renowned for the quality of its program and its guests, which include Patricio Guzmán (Chile), Ross McElwee, (EEUU), Fernando ‘Pino’ Solanas (Argentina), Nino Kirtadze (Georgia), Eugenio Polgovsky (Mexico), Joseph Morder (Francia), Jay Rosenblatt (EEUU), Natalia Almada (Mexico-EEUU), amongst others.
