93 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT EDOC FILM FESTIVAL
This year, EDOC invited 93 high school and university students from 14 cities of Ecuador to attend the festival. The festival covered their accommodation, transportation, insurance and food expenses. The grant holders arrived to Quito in two groups and during four days they participated in workshops, round tables and discussions about documentary filmmaking. They were able to share their doubts and wishes with filmmakers from Ecuador, our international guests and the festival organizers. Each of the students received a free festival pass, so most of them watched at least three films per day during their stay.
It is EDOC’s main purpose to maintain this scholarship program on every edition since one of the goals of the festival is to engage new generations into the documentary practice.
